FREQUENCY RENAISSANCE Peace & Healing through Harmonic 111
Could archetypal forces, transpersonal connections, or experiential states be couched in specific frequencies and brainwave states? All sorts of spiritual traditions, archeology, archaeoacoustics, brainwave research, musicology, and studies in electromagnetism confirm it is so. Resonance, phase locking, and phase transition.
Electromagnetic earth-brain interactions affecting consciousness include Schumann Resonances (SR) and terrestrial frequencies. The fundamental SR mode roughly corresponds to a wave with a wavelength equal to the circumference of the Earth. SR is not the internally-generated resonant frequency of the planet Earth, which is 10 Hz as Tesla discovered. 10 Hz. is Earth's electromagnetic oscillations.
The phase modulations of the Schumann propagations and those associated with consciousness are very similar. Humans developed while immersed in the geomagnetic field and the intensities and frequencies generated as Schumann resonances within the earth-ionosphere cavity.
Schumann resonances are the principal background in the part of the electromagnetic spectrum from 3 Hz through 60 Hz, and appear as distinct peaks at extremely low frequencies (ELF) around 7.83 Hz (fundamental), 14.3, 20.8, 27.3 and 33.8 Hz.
Michael Persinger suggested, "The possibility that some feature of space within the earth-ionosphere cavity could contain a complex electromagnetic template for at least some components of DNA sequences is a concept to explore. .. a physical equivalence of Hilbert space would accommodate the technical requirements."
The Holy Frequency, 111 Hz., is all about resonant frequency effects, entanglement, and brainwave entrainment in the Gamma brainwave range. Sound can alter consciousness and psychic communication with the gods or psyche's realm.
Stone rooms in ancient temples match the same pattern of resonance. We find evidence for it and its recognized value within the archaic temples of neolithic Malta, dynastic Egypt, and Hellenic Greece.
Speculations include that singing modulated low frequency signals and infrasound. Infrasoundor low-frequency sound, is sound lower in frequency than 20 Hz or cycles per second, the "normal" limit of human hearing. Most brainwave states are in that low range. Like a symphony, they all are present at any time, but one particular brain wave will be dominant depending on the current state of consciousness.
Hearing becomes gradually less sensitive as frequency decreases, unless the the sound pressure is be sufficiently high. Conscious awareness arises in the beta wave, or beta rhythm, a neural oscillation (brainwave) with a frequency range of between 12.5 and 30 Hz (12.5 to 30 cycles per second). Beta waves are characteristics of a strongly engaged mind.
During sleep usually there are combinations of the slower frequencies, but even gamma has been found to be involved in rapid-eye movement (REM).Gamma is like super-conducting, supercharged state ranges from 38 to 100 Hz.
Gamma brainwaves are the fastest of brain waves (high frequency, like a flute), and relate to simultaneous processing of information from different brain areas. Gamma brainwaves pass information rapidly and quietly. The most subtle of the brainwave frequencies, the mind has to be quiet to access gamma.
These are involved in higher processing tasks as well as cognitive functioning. Gamma waves are important for learning, memory and information processing. It is thought that the 40 Hz gamma wave is important for the binding of our senses in regards to perception and are involved in learning new material. It has been found that individuals who are mentally challenged and have learning disabilities tend to have lower gamma activity than average.
Frequency range: 40 Hz to 100 Hz (Highest)
Too much: Anxiety, high arousal, stress
Too little: ADHD, depression, learning disabilities
Optimal: Binding senses, cognition, information processing, learning, perception, REM sleep
Increase gamma waves: Meditation
Gamma was dismissed as 'spare brain noise' until researchers discovered it was highly active when in states of universal love, altruism, and the ‘higher virtues’. Gamma is also above the frequency of neuronal firing, so how it is generated remains a mystery. It is speculated that gamma rhythms modulate perception and consciousness, and that a greater presence of gamma relates to expanded consciousness and spiritual emergence.
Modulations were generated on opposite ends of temples (in windows and in doors) simply with a bell, or with vibrating metal plates, or even with a strong wind drafted through a wall opening.
The oval multi-chambered configuration of the Maltese temples would allow signals formed from groups of air particles, before output, to be amplified in a second parallel opposite oval spaces of the temple. This would be analogous with a resonator. Coral limestone blocks used for construction of the complexes, are a very good resonant material.
In acoustics, formant refers to a peak in the sound envelope and/or to a resonance in sound sources, notably musical instruments, as well as that of sound chambers. Any room can be said to have a formant unique to that particular room, due to the way sound may bounce differently across its walls and objects. Room formants of this nature reinforce themselves by emphasizing specific frequencies and absorbing others, as exploited in construction techniques.
Descriptions and relics testify to the importance of sound in ancient ceremonies and structures but it is only now that we are becoming aware of the extent that it was incorporated. Recent investigations into Palaeolithic cave-art have revealed an association between areas which produce a strong resonance and the location of the art. This finding demonstrates that the properties of sound were being recognized, explored, appreciated and recorded over 30,000 years ago.
It has been called The Voice of the Silence in Theosophy, the unstruck chord, the lost chord, and Shabd in Hindu and Sikh traditions. Light transduces to subtle sound that can influence forms including DNA, through cymatics.
Broad-Band Holography
With the proper equipment we can capture and broadcast complex three-dimensional wave form structures in space across a whole broad band of the electromagnetic spectrum. This is "broad band holography." Here the term "holography" means a whole range of processes for capturing wave forms at different frequencies on the spectrum. In holography, each part contains the whole but at much lower resolution. The same might be said of our relation to a holographic cosmos.
Immersed in psyche, the personal mind creates and inhabits a transpersonal art-space. Science and art married in the digital revolution. Art has always required a certain amount of technical expertise, the ability to create and use technology in its execution. Only the means and their complexity have changed, evolving over the years, culminating now in a revolution based on the electronic arts, including digital gaming and biofeedback.
"McLuhan believed that electronic environments were molding people on a scale that was greater than any artwork, and that, therefore, artists should embrace the technologies of the future," says Paramedia Ecologist, Bob Dobbs. "By this, he meant that in mass media environments, people are molded not only by the content but by a sensory bias specific to the medium," says Dobbs.
We are reaching the end of the old paradigm. We cannot afford to ignore the electromagnetic properties of the macro-system and deal with chemistry as if it were taking place in a neutral system. This new field can be termed "bio-electronic": a term based on biophysics.(Webb, 1973).
But, what IS the frequency, Kenneth? Ancient Egyptians and the Hellenic world had the notion of The Music of the Spheres, and applied it to a number of technologies from music and ritual, to medicine, sacred geometry, architecture and astrotheology.
Resonance is analogous to empathy. The core value of ma'at, balance, defined the harmonization of energy across scales and domains. It formed the basis of their worldview and the cults of Heliopolis. The collective dimensions of mythic patterns were incorporated in their holy rites, which included magic, healing, and music.
Auditory steady‐state responses develop to tones amplitude‐modulated at 110-111 Hz. Relational attunement deepens our awareness and participatory wisdom. The presence or absence of a response can be accurately determined by frequency‐domain statistics and the response becomes clearly recognizable at intensities that are above behavioral thresholds.
With increasing intensity the response increases in amplitude. An auditory evoked potential, the auditory steady-state response (ASSR) can be thought of as an electrophysiologic response to rapid auditory stimuli.
Attentional Shuffling & Memory
We suspect that human perception has already shifted prime sensory modalities to favor Memory -- in keeping with the underlying architecture of digital technology. Psyche, society, and gaming will soon see a shift in the media environment as dramatic as that from current computing to photonics or quantum computing.
It’s easier to find what you’re looking for when it comes looking for you. Empedocles knew that we don’t use our senses but instead are used by them. So, the art is how to use the senses rather than be used by them.
We actually must turn our attention back to face what is coming toward us -- the mythological, the elusive, the deceptive, the numinous. In neurological terms this is a shift from left to right brain dominance and imagery.
We cannot predict just how the imagery will unfold, but it does conform to certain archetypal patterns and forms. In terms of contextual purpose, these patterns appear to be self-organizing, self-generating, and self-iterating.
Phase-Locking
We can relate such emergence and resonance to the Pythagorean comma, 1.036, which is a harmonic resonance, where one body can vibrate in such a way it changes the body of another. There is a hypothesis that stochastic resonance is responsible for both the so called temporal coding of the sensory inputs to neurons) and for the ability of the brain to extract very weak signals from a noisy background.
Resonance phenomena occur with all types of vibrations or waves: there is mechanical resonance, acoustic resonance, electromagnetic resonance, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), electron spin resonance (ESR) and resonance of quantum wave functions. Resonant systems can be used to generate vibrations of a specific frequency (e.g. musical instruments), or pick out specific frequencies from a complex vibration containing many frequencies (e.g. filters).
They have a tendency to recur over time, as one form of iteration. Psychological faith is reflected as the love of images, and confirms the reality of the soul as image-making power. The inner world is just as "real" as the outer, although different. In the Renaissance, the new way of seeing was called perspective and remains valid as more than a metaphor.
It is a revelatory experience which stands out and presents itself as having coherence and resonance. These states can occur spontaneously, but are facilitated through therapeutic methods. Other examples are sudden illumination, esthetic appreciation, opening to nature, simple recognition to dramatic realization, awe and radical creativity.
“Paramedia” describes what happens when peers come together in networks of influence, using media innovation. It promotes both/and thinking and penetrates deeply into the gaps of conventional culture, rigidity and atrophy, bursting it apart at the seams, like overripe fruit. A resilient community can put collective shifts into high gear - and have a great time doing it -- to bring the compulsions of our spirit down to earth.
Explorations of paramedia have an analogous relationship of anomalous effects to ordinary digital media that parapsychology represented to mundane or secular psychology. Altered states of consciousness range beyond local orientation to explore other patterns in the Cosmos.
Such exploration may be of ultimate benefit or harm to the world of ordinary consciousness but such exploration is vital for the evolution of society in a changing world.
Paramedia is to quantum computing what parapsychology was to psychology, consciousness studies, with proven applications such as Remote Viewing. The core of such societal shifts is found in their 'effects', not their conscious intentions. There are always unforeseen consequences.
This reflects McLuhan's notion of a 'global theatre,' that functions through myths, memes, cliches and archetypes much like the psyche or World Soul, affecting behavior, feelings, concepts, and belief -- in particular worldview.
Resonance Theory of Consciousness
The highest brainwave mode, gamma brain waves work on memory, attention span & mood. Human gamma waves are a pattern of neural oscillation with a frequency between 25 and 100 Hz, though 40 Hz is typical. According to a popular theory, gamma waves may be implicated in creating the unity of conscious perception.
All meditators showed higher parieto-occipital 60–110 Hz gamma amplitude than control subjects in studies. This gamma power was positively correlated with participants meditation experience. Meditation practice is correlated to changes in the EEG gamma frequency range that are common to a variety of meditation practices.
The universe is composed of entities that interact and create the universe. There are lots of different levels of space/time resolution. So you go from Planck lengths to the width of the universe. The Planck length is the scale at which classical ideas about gravity and space-time cease to be valid, and quantum effects dominate.
Anyway, these entities and their relations are represented in our brains as concepts and their connections. - Semantic network. Each of us carries some of the concepts in our brains but not all of them. Together the concepts in all our brains create like a database a cloud. Cumulative souls are the essence of psyche - Distributed server.
So like a hologram with a person for a pixel, all the people/pixels create the high definition of the framework of the world we live in. Each of us at one time or another corrects other people to reinforce the shared framework. - Social hologram - together we create societies and gods.
Schafer has suggested a Psychecology of potentially programmable quantum actants, as agents of evolution which can be modeled as de-conditioning and re-conditioning digital game play. "The key to this design is coherent game imagery that would contribute to the reframing of archetypal patterns of the unconscious."
Schafer's idea is that "such design (based on images with coherent resonance which appear to be very similar to Plato’s fractal artifacts) can be structured along dynamics of Jungian dream analysis (dramatic structure, compensation, contextuality, and coherent Individuation)."
With mediated biofeedback in diverse forms, current catastrophic media issues such as political hacking and dissemination of lies, could be addressed in a timely way. The entire concept has to do with the power of coherent thought which can be influenced at unconscious cognitive scales without infringing on human “free choice”.
But, who can make valuable contributions in all areas of social function for the development of a humane, ecological and evolving planetary society? Everybody knows what they’re working on. Everyone can say they’ve tested their project until they’re confident people will need what they’re making. But nobody can say what we’re building collectively.
What we need is a new existential paradigm, a design pattern for putting knowledge into action. We need a new Participatory Wisdom for how to be and how to get along in our rapidly changing world.
We need to change the architecture of our participation with self, others and world for a richer user experience, an attitude not a technology. It takes the brain a great amount of time and many thousands of repetitions to realize true mastery. Practice isn’t the only thing you do that makes you good at what you do, but it’s the most important thing, integrating one’s heart and soul into the practice.
Joseph Farrugia describes unusual sound effects in the Hypogeum of Malta: “There is a small niche in what we call ‘The Oracle Chamber’, and if someone with a deep voice speaks inside, the voice echoes all over the hypogeum. The resonance in the ancient temple is something exceptional. You can hear the voice rumbling all over.”
Linda Eneix, President of The Old Temples Study Foundation Foundation, dedicated to archaeology research and education related to the ancient temples of Mediterranean Malta says, “Standing in the Hypogeum is like being inside a giant bell…you feel the sound in your bones as much as you hear it with your ears. It’s really thrilling!” –Source
Stone rooms in ancient temples in Malta were found to match the same pattern of resonance, registering at the frequency of 110 or 111 hz. This turns out to be a significant level for the human brain, that of the resonating unstruck sound. Whether it was deliberate or not, those who spent time in such an environment were exposing themselves to vibrations that impacted their minds.
"Findings indicated that at 110 hz the patterns of activity over the prefrontal cortex abruptly shifted, resulting in a relative deactivation of the language center and a temporary switching from left to right-sided dominance related to emotional processing. People regularly exposed to resonant sound in the frequency of 110 or 111 hz would have been “turning on” an area of the brain that bio-behavioral scientists believe relates to mood, empathy and social behavior.” –Source
"The repetition of mystic dhunyatmak shabds have an effect on the levels of consciousness experienced by the soul. This can be explained scientifically. Dhunyatmak shabds, though they cannot be produced by speech, store their secret in the mechanism of producing the same. A focused and concentration upon this mechanism bring to the mind the form of the sound. Such repeated and focused effort works akin to the a tuning fork which repeatedly struck in the vicinity of an already vibrating tuning fork eventually produces resonance.
"The effect of this resonance is the fine tuning of the physical, mental and spiritual faculties of the body/mind/ spirit of a practitioner. This creates the ascent of the spirit to experience higher levels of spirituality in the consciousness of that higher region. This paper explains with scientific experiments on different groups of people, how the repetition of mystic word further aided by a holistic lifestyle helps them achieve higher levels of consciousness and the physical manifestation of that fine tuning on the body and mind." Gamma Range 111 Hz
How was sound used in ancient Malta? As today, sound was used in every way possible and perhaps more. As with most sophisticated ancient culture they most likely had a 3 dimensional world view and used sound to express it outwardly, inwardly and centered, projecting it in all directions and on the plane of the living, for the purpose of communication, weaponry (if necessary) and spiritually or to create altered states of consciousness. New investigations are looking at all these possibilities.
How and for what purpose did the Malta temple culture use sound energy? It takes a multi-disciplinary look at early sonic/aural awareness and lithic sound behavior, toward a better understanding of human and music development. Understanding the soundscape ancient humans created in the Malta temples could enable us to finally grasp their intended purpose.
A picture paints a thousand words; a soundscape can paint a thousand pictures. And, through sound we may see what words or pictures may never show us. Perhaps a combination of tones created by humans in a variety of ways, produce an “Anthrophony” of sound, which acts as a key to unlock a temples function.
Through his discovery, Devereux dug into the secret beyond the 111 Hz and found something quite interesting. He realized the beliefs which are based on a divine sound and divine frequency principle, meet in the same point. The relation of the sound and human is still practiced in similar ways. According to Devereux, Pythagoras created his musical scale starting with a note A that resonates at the frequency of 111 Hz.
How is the brain affected by 111 Hz? : MRI scans show that the brain switches off the prefrontal cortex and deactivates the language center that is responsible for holistic processing, creativity, intuition, and inducing a phase at exactly 111 Hz. This reaction results in a divine level of meditation, the trance that some believe allows you to get connected with the universe, God or a creator.
Healing With Divine Frequency: Besides of the religious rituals, researchers has been practicing the truth behind the 111 Hz as well. The research on the acoustic behavior in megalithic sites in the UK by Prof. Robert Jahn pointed out that they sustained a resonance at a sound frequency between 95 and 120 hertz.
So the 110-111 hz signal helps us to integrate the two halves of the brain into a state of balanced consciousness.
Today, we have the predicable influence of resonant frequencies related to brainwave states, known as frequency-following-response, binaural beat technology (Monroe). This resonance phenomenon, a form of entrainment, is called the frequency-following response, or binaural beat technology.
Entrainment is the process of synchronization, where vibrations of one object will cause another to oscillate at the same rate. It works by embedding two different tones in a stereo background. Continuous tones of subtly different frequencies (such as 100 and 108 cycles per second) are delivered to each ear independently via stereo headphones. The tones combine in a pulsing “wah wah” tone.
External rhythms can have a direct effect on the psychology and physiology of the listener. The brain effortlessly begins resonating at the same rate as the difference between the two tones, ideally in the 4-13 Hz. (Theta and Alpha) range for meditation. All you have to do is sit quietly and put on the headphones. The brain automatically responds to certain frequencies, behaving like a resonator. Freq 111 is in the gamma range.
The brain is hard-wired for mystical experiences, perhaps as an adaptation to soothe the stress incurred in daily life. Peak experiences, raptures, epiphanies, even illumination are potentially available to everyone. Spontaneous transient electrical chaos in the temporal lobes is perfectly normal, making the God experience an artifact of healthy function.
We can learn to make space, time and personality dissolve. Fear dissolves too as we kiss the feet of eternity. All we have to do is withdraw our attention from the senses and interrupt certain brain circuits.
These experiences can also be induced neuromagnetically with new technologies, and non-invasively with “brainwave drivers” such as the frequency-following response or binaural beat technology.
Ensoulment
We ourselves are the final mystery. We tap into nature to find again how nature affects us.
